Le saviez-vous ? (English Bellow)

Did you know?
Nikita Khrushchev was a strong-willed leader. As the architect of the Cold War, he had no verbal reservations when dealing with John Kennedy. However, he is also remembered for implementing the process of de-Stalinization in the USSR.
Khrushchev was the first Soviet leader to travel extensively, perhaps too much.
Taking advantage of these journeys, from March 1964 onwards, the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet, Leonid Brezhnev, began secretly discussing the removal of Khrushchev. While Brezhnev had considered having Khrushchev arrested upon his return from his visit to Scandinavia (Photo) in June, he opted to gather support from members of the Central Committee.
A few months later, they voted the Khrushchev's "voluntary" departure from his duties. Brezhnev then became the First Secretary of the USSR.
